AusCam Engineering is a CNC and Hydraulics Workshop with two sites based in Welshpool, WA.
The company has experienced rapid growth over the past three years with investment in four new CNC machines, current Tool Management Systems, updated EdgeCam Programming Software and with further exciting opportunities to expand into On-site Hydraulics Projects, 5 Axis Machining, Automation and Robotics as well as our CMM soon to arrive, we are a company that is thriving and striving to improve everyday.
We are currently seeking to add to our team as part of our strategic plan for success in 2026 and beyond. We are looking to fill a CNC Milling position but experience with CNC Lathes, Manual Machining, Fabrication and Hydraulics are all also welcome. This role would suit someone looking for a culture of high performing people that enjoy contributing through their openness to collaborate and share ideas with pride in the quality of their machined components.
We are also looking for a 1st or 2nd year or Mature-Aged Apprentice who wants to kick start their career with a team that has over 200 years of machining experience from diverse backgrounds. We have a large variety of work and opportunities for you to learn and grow in this trade.

Qualifications & experience
- Trade qualified machinist
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a High Mix, Low Volume (Jobbing) workshop environment - preferably CNC Milling and/or 5 Axis work
- EdgeCam & SolidEdge experience is advantageous
- Fanuc control experience is advantageous
- Manual Machining experience is a bonus
- Fabrication experience is a bonus
- Hydraulics experience is bonus
Tasks & responsibilities
- Programming, Setting and Machining on CNC Mills
- Following Safe Work Procedures and completing SOPs
- Good understanding of tool selection and manufacturing methods including work holding, jigs and fixtures
- Team Player who wants to contribute to the growth of the company
- High attention to detail with a commitment to high quality output
