The Role As a VCE English Language Teacher at our Caulfield Campus , you will join a dynamic and collaborative learning community dedicated to delivering exceptional educational experiences. This role is centered on teaching Year 12 English Language, teaching VCE Units 3 and 4. The teaching load also includes English classes, and experience in Learning Strategies would be highly regarded. We are seeking an educator who brings a strong understanding of linguistics, a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and achievement, and a contemporary, evidence-informed approach to classroom practice. They will inspire confidence, curiosity and academic growth in their students, while contributing positively to a faculty that values collaboration, high standards and a shared commitment to excellence. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity commencing 1 January 2027 . The role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis , with flexibility around teaching commitments and workload arrangements for the right candidate. Key Duties
• Plan, teach and assess Year 12 VCE English Language (Units 3 and 4), supporting students to achieve their full potential
• Teach an English allotment, tailoring your approach to the needs of students across a range of abilities, including Middle Years English




• Contribute to Learning Strategies programs, where applicable, to support students in developing effective learning habits
• Use assessment data and feedback to monitor student progress and inform teaching
• Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and professional practice
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, families and colleagues
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours Skills And Experience
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and linguistics, and across the English curriculum
• Experience teaching VCE English Language Units 3 and 4 is highly welcomed
• Experience assessing VCE English Language is highly encouraged
• The ability to teach English across Senior School year levels
• Experience in Learning Strategies or learning support is welcomed
• A considered and evidence-informed approach to teaching and assessment
• The ability to engage and challenge students across a range of abilities
• A collaborative approach to curriculum planning and professional growth
