We are hiring an Estimator in Canberra. Applicants MUST currently be based in Australia. Valuable estimating starts with understanding how the job will be built. At Serendia, you will work closely with the people delivering the projects, with direct access to management and senior support on tender strategy and final pricing. We deliver commercial construction, refurbishment and building upgrades, typically valued between $1 million and $10 million. Our work spans government, Defence and education, often in occupied buildings where staging, access and keeping operations running matter. Based in our Canberra office, you will:
• Review drawings, specifications and addenda, identifying scope gaps and pricing risks.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, trade packages and cost estimates.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Build up preliminaries and clearly document assumptions, inclusions and exclusions.
• Support tender reviews and hand over successful estimates to our delivery teams.

We would like to hear from you if you have estimating experience in commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment, sound construction knowledge and strong Excel skills. You should be comfortable asking questions, following up quotations and explaining the reasoning behind your price. Experience with Procore, EstimateOne, government or Defence projects would be valuable. Why join us? You will see how your work contributes from tender through to delivery. Your ideas for improving our estimating process will be welcomed, and you will build experience across varied projects as we grow in Canberra and Queensland. We value clear communication, fair dealing and following through on our commitments. To express your interest, message me here on LinkedIn with your CV, current location and a brief outline of the projects you have estimated. This is a Canberra office-based role. Applicants must already be in Australia when applying. #Estimator #CanberraJobs #CommercialConstruction
