This opportunity will contribute to the development and support of agency systems, applications, and integrations, working alongside NDIA project teams and local full-stack engineering colleagues.

About The Role
As an EL1 Full Stack Engineer, you will undertake complex engineering work under broad direction, delivering quality outcomes across the NDIA’s functions. The role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery coordination. This role requires an active contribution to agile project teams and the ability to communicate technical matters clearly to varied audiences. This opportunity is open only to Australian citizens who currently hold an NV1 security clearance and reside in Australia. Applicants who do not meet all three requirements will not be considered. Qualifications Applicants should bring substantial experience in full-stack software engineering and the capability to design, build, deploy, integrate,

and support complex digital solutions. You will be confident contributing across the development lifecycle, from understanding business needs and defining technical approaches through implementation, review, deployment, and ongoing support. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment. Experience working within agile project teams, collaborating with business stakeholders, and providing technical leadership is important. You should also be comfortable participating in code reviews as both a reviewer and reviewee, supporting consistent engineering standards and quality practices. Applicants must be Australian citizens, reside in Australia, and hold a current NV1 clearance. Familiarity with integration practices, architectural principles, software delivery, and stakeholder management will support success in this position. Responsibilities
• Design, build, deploy, and support agency systems, applications, and integrations.
• Manage and prioritise the work queue to support timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Ensure solutions follow integration best practices and NDIA architectural principles, and maintain clear, useful documentation.

• Work with business stakeholders to clarify needs and achieve agreed outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership within project teams using an agile development framework.
• Engage stakeholders to define requirements, set priorities, manage expectations, and deliver results.
• Participate actively in code reviews to maintain coding quality and engineering standards.
• Apply sound judgement to complex technical and delivery issues, providing senior-level advice and support.
• Develop pragmatic, value-conscious solutions that meet their intended purpose.
• Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships, representing NDIA interests in relevant forums when required. Responsibilities reflect current priorities and may change as project and agency requirements evolve. Benefits This labour hire opportunity offers the chance to contribute to significant public-sector digital initiatives and work with experienced engineering and business teams. You will have scope to apply your technical expertise, influence solution quality, and support outcomes through cooperative, agile delivery. Engagement details, including applicable employment conditions, will be discussed during the recruitment process. Equal Opportunity Softtest Pays Pty is committed to fair and respectful recruitment. Applications are assessed on relevant skills, experience, and role requirements.
