Western Downs Digital Park at Kogan in Queensland is a major new hyperscale campus. These appointments offer the chance to join the operational leadership team early and help establish the standards, systems and culture that will underpin a safe, resilient and high-performing live environment. The role The Senior Technical Services Manager will lead the technical operation and maintenance of the critical infrastructure supporting Zerra DC's Western Downs campus. Reporting to the DC Operations Director, you will be accountable for the safe, reliable and cost-effective performance of the electrical, mechanical, controls, fire and life-safety systems that underpin availability. This is a senior operational leadership role bringing together Technical Services Managers, maintenance leadership, technicians and specialist vendors. You will be the principal technical escalation point, own the maintenance and lifecycle regime, and ensure risks are identified and addressed before they affect customer service levels. What you will lead
• Safe and reliable operation of electrical distribution, UPS, standby generation, cooling, mechanical plant, BMS and EPMS, fire and life-safety systems.
• An integrated technical team spanning managers, maintenance personnel, technicians and specialist vendors in a 24-hour environment.
• Planned preventative maintenance, CMMS, asset registers, criticality assessment, spares and lifecycle and capital-renewal planning.
• Customer SLAs, technical KPIs,



operational risk, service reviews and technical escalations.
• Change control, methods of procedure, switching and isolation governance, incident response, root-cause review and continual improvement.
• Technical services budgets, forecasts, cost control, contracts and vendor performance.
• HSEQ, emergency response, business continuity and operational resilience. What you will bring You will have led multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams within a live mission-critical facility. Hyperscale or data centre experience is highly valuable; relevant backgrounds may also include hospitals, pharmaceuticals, utilities, energy, advanced manufacturing or other environments where failure is not an option.
• Deep working knowledge of electrical and mechanical critical plant, controls, redundancy, maintainability and uptime.
• Senior leadership of technical teams and specialist vendors through experienced direct reports.
• Direct accountability for maintenance strategy, CMMS, asset performance and customer SLA delivery.
• Practical expertise in formal risk, change and incident management within a live critical setting.
• Commercial capability across budgets, contracts, lifecycle investment and vendor performance.
• A relevant engineering, trade, facilities or operations qualification; data centre, ITIL, WHS or project credentials are advantageous. Why join Zerra DC
