About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Electronics Engineering & Technical Sales Intern with a strong interest in electronic test equipment, engineering applications and technical sales. This role offers hands-on exposure to advanced Test & Measurement instruments, customer engagement, product demonstrations, technical marketing, website management and business development.
Key Responsibilities
• Support technical sales and business development activities for Test & Measurement products.
• Assist customers with product selection and technical enquiries.
• Develop product knowledge of oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators, DC power supplies, multimeters and EMI/EMC testing equipment.
• Prepare technical quotations, product comparisons and customer proposals.
• Assist with product demonstrations and application discussions.
• Support website product listings, technical specifications and e-commerce activities.
• Assist with updating and maintaining the company website using WordPress and WooCommerce.
• Identify potential customers and support lead generation across Australia and Recent Zealand.
• Coordinate with international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Assist with technical marketing campaigns, exhibitions and industry events. Qualifications & Skills
• Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications or a related Engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits, measurements and laboratory instruments.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators and DC power supplies.
• Previous experience or a strong interest in technical sales, customer engagement or business development.
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and explain product features to customers.
• Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn.
• Basic knowledge of EMI/EMC testing is an advantage. Additional Skills – Highly DesirableExperience in the following areas would be an added advantage:
• WordPress website design and development, including Elementor.
• WooCommerce e-commerce management, including product uploads, categories, pricing and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and website customisation.
• Website SEO, Google Search Console and digital marketing.
• Graphic design, product image editing and creating promotional content.
• LinkedIn marketing and B2B lead generation.
• Experience maintaining engineering or technical product websites. Website design experience is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with strong electronics engineering knowledge and an interest in technical sales are encouraged to apply.
