Designer Joinery | Sydney, NSW | Subcontract / Contract Basis Designer Joinery is seeking a highly experienced Cabinet Vision Draftsperson / CNC Nester to work with us on a subcontract basis. We are looking for a skilled professional with extensive trade experience in the joinery and cabinetmaking industry who can manage the drafting and production detailing process, from preliminary shop drawings through to CNC-ready manufacturing files.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed preliminary joinery shop drawings from architectural plans, specifications and client requirements.
• Revise and update shop drawings based on client and builder feedback until final approval.
• Convert approved shop drawings into accurate, production-ready Cabinet Vision files.
• Complete CNC nesting, machining layouts and production programming.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure all cabinetry components, hardware and construction details are accurately documented.
• Identify and resolve potential manufacturing issues before releasing files to production.
• Liaise with our team to ensure a smooth transition from initial drafting through to manufacturing.





Requirements:
• Extensive experience using Cabinet Vision, including drafting, production detailing and CNC nesting.
• Thorough understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and site measurements.
• Experience producing both preliminary shop drawings and CNC-ready production files.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work independently.
• Ability to meet agreed project deadlines. Engagement Details: This is strictly a subcontractor prospect, not a full-time employment position.
