You will understand the importance of designing systems for scalability, security, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Experience with AI governance, model controls, ethical AI practices, or enterprise standards is desirable. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. You will be able to work independently with limited guidance, adapt to changing circumstances, and explain technical concepts to senior executives and non-technical audiences. Applicants must be Australian citizens residing in Australia and hold a Baseline clearance. Please include your current location when applying. Responsibilities Design, prototype, build, test, deploy, and evaluate AI/ML solutions across relevant technologies, selecting methods that support business objectives and produce measurable outcomes. Apply machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and LLM techniques as appropriate. Contribute to solution planning and ensure that development decisions account for data, integration, security, scalability, and operational needs.

Research emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide strategic advice on potential initiatives. Help establish and apply technical standards, governance frameworks, guardrails, and controls that promote reliable and ethical AI use. Ensure solutions align with enterprise policies, standards, ethics, and applicable legislation. Work openly with stakeholders and multidisciplinary colleagues to identify needs, assess options, and support appropriate deployment and integration. Communicate recommendations in clear, actionable language, build support for AI initiatives, and remain focused on people and business outcomes. Exercise creativity and resilience when working through uncertainty and changing priorities. Advantages This role offers the opportunity to contribute to practical AI initiatives and help shape responsible technology use. You will work across a varied technical landscape, collaborate with stakeholders from different disciplines, and apply your expertise to solutions with clear business relevance. The position also provides scope to deepen your knowledge of AI governance, cloud technologies, and emerging practices through hands-on work and ongoing research.
