Data Engineer – SAP HANA to Microsoft Fabric Migration

Experience:
7-10 Year Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and working knowledge of SAP HANA to support a large-scale SAP HANA to Microsoft Fabric migration and modernization program.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Support migration of existing SAP HANA data workloads to Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain Fabric Data Pipelines for data ingestion and orchestration.
• Build transformation and processing solutions using Fabric Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Notebooks, Spark/PySpark, and SQL.
• Migrate and optimize SAP HANA datasets, tables, views, and existing data integration workloads.
• Implement incremental loads, pipeline parameterization, error handling, monitoring, and data validation.
• Perform source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, and post-migration data validation.




• Optimize data pipelines and Fabric workloads for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with SAP, Microsoft/Azure, architecture, and business teams during migration, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
• Prepare technical documentation covering migration design, data mapping, pipelines, and operational processes. Mandatory Skills
