About The Role
We are looking for a practical, construction-focused Project Manager to join our Queensland Property team and deliver brownfield capital works projects within live operational environments. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of building services upgrades, infrastructure renewals, refurbishment projects and asset sustainment programmes. Working closely with clients, contractors and consultants, you'll play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
What You'll Do
You will lead and coordinate the delivery of construction and capital works projects within occupied buildings and operational facilities. Responsibilities will include managing project programmes, costs, risks and stakeholders, overseeing contractor performance, coordinating site activities, and ensuring works are effectively staged and delivered. Projects may include building services upgrades, infrastructure renewals, refurbishment works, asset repositioning initiatives and broader capital works programmes across a range of sectors. About You
• A tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, project management, property or a related discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience delivering construction or capital works projects within live operational environments.
• Experience gained within a builder, building services contractor, facilities capital works team or client-side project management environment.
• Strong practical construction knowledge and site coordination experience.
• An understanding of building services, shutdown planning, staging methodologies and construction interfaces.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders.
• Sound commercial acumen with experience managing project costs, programmes and project risks.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused and comfortable working autonomously when required.
• Experience delivering industrial, infrastructure, building services, refurbishment or asset renewal projects will be highly regarded. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager seeking exposure to a diverse pipeline of capital works projects while working within a collaborative and growing team.
