As a Senior Enterprise Services Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, securing and supporting the technology that underpins AAL's mission-critical operations. Bringing deep infrastructure expertise and a passion for innovation, you will take ownership of delivering secure, resilient and high-performing solutions that keep the business running. Key Responsibilities
include:
• Lead technology innovation:



Drive the adoption of new technologies and contribute strategic thinking to enhance AAL's technology environment.
• Manage enterprise infrastructure: Design, provision, support and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure, including enterprise storage and backup solutions.
• Maintain security and resilience: Ensure systems are secure, hardened, regularly patched and monitored to support a highly available and resilient environment.
• Support cloud infrastructure: Administer and support AAL's cloud environment, including Azure, while working collaboratively with other technical teams to secure access.
• Deliver critical technology projects: Drive the successful delivery of business and Secure IT projects, ensuring solutions meet operational and business requirements.
• Strengthen disaster recovery and cyber security: Maintain and test disaster recovery procedures, contribute to risk management and business continuity reviews, and support the ongoing improvement of AAL's cyber security posture.
• Provide technical leadership: Mentor team members, share technical expertise, build strong stakeholder relationships and champion best practices across the Secure IT team. Key requirements include:
• Extensive Active Directory or Entra

experience:
A minimum of 10 years' experience with Microsoft Active Directory or Entra.




• Strong virtualisation expertise: At least 10 years' experience working with virtualisation technologies.
• Azure administration

experience:
A minimum of 5 years' experience administering Azure environments.
• Enterprise infrastructure expertise: At least 10 years' experience with enterprise server, storage and backup technologies.
• Critical infrastructure

experience:
Experience working within a technology team in a complex or mission-critical infrastructure organisation.
• Strong communication and collaboration

skills:
The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear business language, build effective relationships and work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
• A proactive, accountable mindset: Demonstrated ownership, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement, security and operational excellence. Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable, either completed or in progress, alongside essential industry experience. Overall, you will be a self-motivated project management professional with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and decision-makers.
