Role Description

This is an in office role for a Quality Assurance Officer located in Carrum Downs, VIC.

The QA Officer will be responsible for maintaining quality systems, overseeing compliance with regulatory, food safety, and TGA/GMP requirements, reviewing documentation, and working closely with production and QC teams to ensure ongoing product and process quality.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Implement and maintain the company’s quality assurance systems in compliance with HACCP, GMP, TGA, and applicable food safety requirements.
- Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, specifications, and quality documentation.
- Support compliance with TGA manufacturing requirements, including relevant GMP documentation, records, deviations, CAPA, change control, and batch documentation where applicable.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Support staff training in quality, GMP, TGA, and food safety procedures.
- Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and quality issues, and assist with root cause analysis.
- Liaise with external auditors,



certification bodies, and regulatory authorities, including TGA, when required.
- Assist with preparation for external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Assist with other QA-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are advantageous but not required.
- Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, TGA requirements, and food safety systems.
- Experience in quality assurance within the food, complementary medicine, or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Experience with TGA-regulated manufacturing or GMP quality systems will be highly regarded.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate across departments.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: From $33.05 per hour
