EFI Furniture is an established Australian furniture manufacturer and supplier, specialising in quality educational and commercial furniture.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Delivery Driver & Furniture Installer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on position involving the delivery, assembly and installation of furniture at schools, offices and other commercial locations throughout Melbourne.
We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude and can represent our business professionally when dealing with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive our company delivery truck (approximately 3 tonnes).
- Load, secure, transport and unload furniture safely.
- Deliver and install educational and office furniture at customer sites.
- Assemble desks, tables, chairs, storage units and other furniture.
- Use hand and power tools for furniture assembly and installation.
- Ensure deliveries and installations are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe delivery vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with customers and other team members.
- Assist with general warehouse and furniture preparation duties when required.
About You
The ideal applicant will have:
- A current Australian driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle.
- A reliable,
punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Good practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools.
- The physical ability to perform manual handling duties safely.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong attention to detail and care when handling furniture.
- A willingness to learn and take responsibility for their work.
Previous experience in furniture delivery, installation, removals, warehousing or a similar hands-on role would be highly regarded.
Furniture installation experience is preferred but not essential for someone with the right attitude and practical ability.
What We Offer
- $33 per hour plus superannuation.
- Regular work, approximately five days per week.
