Adelaide Labour and More Pty Ltd is a South Australian company providing scaffolding and formwork services for residential and commercial construction projects across Adelaide. We are looking for a Carpenter (Formwork) to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the role
You will build, install and strip formwork for concrete structures on commercial and residential construction sites across Adelaide. You will work closely with our team, site supervisors and other trades to deliver accurate, secure and high quality work on schedule.
Duties
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and engineering specifications
- Measure, cut and assemble timber, plywood and other formwork materials
- Erect formwork for footings, slabs, walls, columns, beams and stairs
- Set out, level and align formwork to the required dimensions
- Install reinforcement support and edge forms before concrete pours
- Strip, clean and store formwork after concrete has cured
- Inspect formwork to make sure it is safe and secure
- Follow work health and safety procedures on all sites
- Use hand and power tools safely and keep them in good condition
Skills and requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a formwork carpenter
- Knowledge of formwork systems and concrete construction
- Ability to read plans and take accurate measurements
- Knowledge of Australian work health and safety standards
- White Card
- Good communication skills and a reliable, team focused attitude
Qualifications
Certificate III in Carpentry and Diploma of Building and Construction are highly regarded.
Salary: $87,000 to $92,000 per year plus superannuation.
