Are you a patient, reliable support worker who enjoys helping people build confidence and independence?

We are seeking male Disability Support Workers in Dubbo to provide person-centred support to an NDIS participant with psychosocial and cognitive support needs.

We’re looking for workers who can build trust, communicate clearly, and provide calm, consistent support.

Available shifts

- Morning: 10:00 am–12:00 pm
- Afternoon: 3:00 pm–6:30 pm
- Sleepover shifts:

Daytime shifts involve 2:1 support, working alongside another support worker. Please include your availability for daytime and sleepover shifts in your application.

About the role

You will support the participant to maintain daily routines, develop independent living skills, and participate in meaningful activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks, and daily routines.
- Providing medication prompts in accordance with the support plan.
- Supporting community access, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encouraging independence with planning and everyday decision-making.
- Supporting interests such as art and creative activities.
- Using explicit, respectful communication and a calm approach.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and reporting changes in wellbeing.




- Working collaboratively with another support worker and the coordination team.

About you

You are dependable, patient, and comfortable providing structured support. You understand the importance of respecting individual choices, cultural identity, and personal goals.

We’re looking for applicants with:

- Experience in disability support, particularly psychosocial or cognitive support.
- Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach.
- An understanding of culturally respectful support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Availability for the advertised shifts.

A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, or a related field is desirable.
