The Bird & Bear Group is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our kitchen team at Navy Bear

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef looking for a better work-life balance, with more than 30 hours per week and day shifts only!

You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team preparing quality food in a vibrant waterfront venue. We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the kitchen, takes pride in their work and brings a positive attitude to every shift.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Manage your section efficiently during preparation and service
- Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering and inventory management
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Contribute to a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Support junior team members when required

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up




- Experience with high volume breakfast and lunch cuisine
- A passion for quality food and consistent execution
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confidence managing a kitchen section during service
- A positive, reliable and flexible attitude
- Valid working rights in Australia
