We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists with prescription preparation, medication labelling, pharmacy records and stock management.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with preparing, filling, packaging and labelling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Enter prescription and patient information accurately into pharmacy dispensing software.
- Prepare prescriptions for the pharmacist’s final check before supply to patients.
- Refer prescription discrepancies and medication enquiries to the pharmacist.
- Assist with preparing dose administration aids under pharmacist supervision.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, receive deliveries and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure medications are stored correctly, monitor expiry dates and storage temperatures, and manage expired stock according to pharmacy procedures.
- Maintain clean and organised dispensing areas and follow workplace safety procedures.




- Assist patients with prescription collection and administrative enquiries, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate pharmacy records.

Qualifications and experience

- A relevant Diploma or higher qualification, or an equivalent overseas qualification. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualification.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience using pharmacy dispensing software and managing medication stock.
- Solid attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pharmacist supervision in a busy pharmacy.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
