Crusader Caravans Australia is an established caravan manufacturer specialising in the design, development and production of quality caravans. We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to support our engineering design and manufacturing operations.

Location: 14 Chadderton Blvd, Epping VIC 3076

Employment: Full-time, Permanent – 38 hours per week

Salary: $79,423 – $81,000 per annum + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop caravan components, assemblies and customised models using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
- Evaluate mechanical designs, materials and manufacturing requirements to improve product functionality and production efficiency.
- Generate CNC programs and G-code using Alphacam to support manufacturing operations.
- Review fabrication and assembly processes, resolving technical and engineering issues in collaboration with production teams.
- Support quality control by assessing component accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Develop automated workflows using Power Automate,



macros and related software to improve engineering and manufacturing efficiency.
- Recommend design and process improvements and maintain accurate engineering drawings, revisions and technical records.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design, product development or manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, Alphacam and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Solid technical, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience in caravan, automotive or related manufacturing industries will be highly regarded.
