Machinist – Gear Cutting & Grinding

As One Labour is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our client’s workshop team in Smithfield.
If you have experience machining gears and shafts and take pride in precision workmanship, we’d like to hear from you.
The role:
- Setting up and operating machinery to cut and grind various types of gears and shafts.
- Reading technical drawings and working to specified tolerances.
- Selecting tooling and checking finished components using precision measuring equipment.
- Maintaining a protected and organised workshop.
What we’re looking for:
- Trade qualifications in machining, fitting and turning, or a related discipline.
- Experience in gear cutting, gear grinding and shaft machining.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $49.00 – $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38.0 per week
Experience:
- Gear Gutting: 3 years (Preferred)
