About Us
Bespoke Skin Technology is an Australian skincare brand founded by leading dermatologist Dr Katherine Armour. Our philosophy is simple: skincare should work hard without making your routine harder.
We combine dermatological expertise with evidence-based ingredients to create innovative, effective skincare that delivers real results.
We're a small, passionate team looking for an experienced Business Operations & Marketing Manager to join us on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of a growing Australian skincare business.
Reporting directly to our Founder and Director, Dr Katherine Armour, you'll oversee a broad range of business functions, including finance, marketing, e-commerce, customer service, inventory, logistics and team management.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a small-business environment, enjoys variety and is confident managing multiple responsibilities independently.
You'll be the central point of contact for our team, external agencies, suppliers and business partners, ensuring the business continues to run efficiently and projects stay on track.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who is commercially minded, highly organised and proactive in their approach. You'll need to be just as comfortable reviewing cash flow and managing marketing agencies as you are troubleshooting a delivery issue or helping with customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Finance
- Oversee daily business operations, administration and internal processes.
- Manage bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations using Xero.
- Monitor cash flow, business expenses and operational budgets.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Liaise with accountants, suppliers and external service providers.
- Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency and streamline processes.
- Take ownership of day-to-day operational decisions, escalating significant matters to the Founder as appropriate.
Marketing, E-commerce & PR
- Oversee marketing activities across paid advertising, email marketing, social media and e-commerce.
- Manage external marketing agencies, ensuring deliverables, timelines and performance expectations are met.
- Monitor marketing expenditure, campaign performance and sales results.
- Maintain a working understanding of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and Klaviyo.
- Coordinate with our PR manager, graphic designers, photographers and creative partners.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and recent product launches.
- Oversee Shopify website management, including product listings, promotions and general updates.
Inventory, Logistics & Customer Service
- Monitor inventory levels, stock requirements and replenishment.
- Liaise with laboratories, manufacturers, packaging suppliers and freight providers.
- Coordinate stock deliveries between suppliers, laboratories and our warehouse.
- Oversee customer service, including enquiries, complaints, refunds and returns.
- Manage order fulfilment processes and assist with processing and packing orders when required.
- Support wholesale and stockist relationships.
Team Management
- Manage and support our Marketing & Social Media Assistant.
- Delegate responsibilities, establish priorities and oversee task completion.
- Coordinate workloads across the internal team and external partners.
- Maintain clear communication and accountability across daily business activities.
