Cook / Kitchen Hand – ASLAN Coffee

Location: The Rocks, Sydney
Job Type: Part time / Casual (3–5 days per week)
Pay: In accordance with the applicable Restaurant Industry Award

ASLAN Coffee is looking for a reliable and motivated Cook / Kitchen Hand to join our team at The Rocks.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation, cooking and plating according to café standards.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Support smooth and efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, stock rotation and restocking.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Minimise food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

What We're Looking For





- Previous experience in a café or commercial kitchen preferred.
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and food presentation.
- Reliable, punctual and proactive team player.
- Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed.
- Availability for 3–5 days per week, including weekends.
- Valid Australian working rights.
