Pasticceria Papa Haberfield is looking for an experienced, passionate and customer-focused Barista to join our team.

We are a busy café known for our Italian pastries, cakes, coffee and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for someone with strong coffee-making skills who can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining excellent coffee quality and customer service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing quality coffee, delivering friendly customer service and helping keep our café running smoothly during busy service periods.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing consistently high-quality espresso coffee and other café beverages.
- Operating and maintaining commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.
- Managing high-volume coffee orders efficiently during peak periods.
- Adjusting grinder settings and monitoring espresso extraction.
- Texturing milk to a high standard and producing quality milk-based coffees.
- Maintaining excellent presentation and consistency across all beverages.
- Providing friendly, professional customer service.
- Keeping the coffee station clean, organised and well stocked.
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Working closely with the café team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Previous experience as a barista in a busy café is essential.
- Strong espresso coffee-making skills and knowledge of coffee extraction.
- Experience using commercial coffee machines and grinders.
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy service periods.
- Excellent milk texturing skills and attention to coffee quality.
- A positive attitude and a strong customer service focus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- Availability to work weekends and busy periods as required.

Experience in a high-volume café environment is highly desirable.
