Commercial Leak Repairs Pty Ltd is a Perth-based specialist with more than 30 years of experience in leak detection, waterproofing and remedial works for commercial properties. Our clients come from the government, education, healthcare, strata, retail, industrial and hospitality sectors. We deliver safe, long-lasting repairs that meet Australian Standards, and we are now looking for a qualified Painter to join our team.

About the role
You will finish and restore surfaces as part of our remedial and maintenance projects across a range of commercial sites. Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up ladders and scaffolding safely and covering nearby surfaces and fittings with drop sheets before work starts
- Getting surfaces ready for coating: stripping old paint and wallpaper, repairing timber, patching cracks and holes, and sanding and sealing so the finish is smooth
- Mixing paints to the specified colour and consistency by combining pigments, oils, thinners and drying agents
- Using brushes, rollers and spray equipment to apply paint, stains and varnishes to walls, ceilings, timber and other surfaces
- Putting up wallpaper,



lining up patterns and trimming it neatly at the edges
- Cleaning tools and equipment, and keeping sites tidy and safe throughout and at the end of each job
- Repairing windows and replacing glass in timber and metal frames when needed

What you need

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (essential)
- At least 1 year of experience working as a painter
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality finishes
- Ability to work safely at heights and follow WHS procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to read job instructions, work to deadlines and maintain a high standard of finish
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
- White Card (construction induction) required, or willingness to obtain one before starting

Desirable

- Certificate IV in Building and Construction
- Knowledge of general construction would be a plus
