We are a wholesale Asian food distributor supplying grocers, restaurants and retailers across Melbourne. We run around 2,000 product lines out of our Carrum Downs warehouse. We’re a small, hands-on team, and the warehouse is the engine of the business - when picking runs well, everything downstream runs well.
About the role
You’ll be picking wholesale orders, cartons and pallets, using an RF scanner against bin locations. It’s a physical role with a steady daily rhythm: orders need to be picked accurately and on time so dispatch leaves on schedule.
Day to day you’ll:
- Pick wholesale orders accurately using an RF scanner and bin locations
- Work across ambient, chilled and frozen zones
- Operate a forklift for pallet movement, put-away and replenishment
- Operate a stock picker to pick stock from pallet racking
- Check products, quantities and expiry dates before orders go out
- Keep stock locations tidy and accurate, and flag any discrepancies early
- Support stocktakes and cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe
What you’ll bring
Essential:
- Current LF forklift licence
- Experience picking with RF scanners in a WMS
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit, able to lift cartons repeatedly across a shift
- Reliable and punctual, someone the team can count on
Nice to have:
- Background in food or grocery distribution
- Familiarity with Asian grocery products
- Experience with an ERP such as Acumatica
