Nüwa Natural Health is a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic on the Gold Coast offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, naturopathy and massage, with a focused interest in women's health: fertility, pregnancy and postpartum. We're looking for a full time massage therapist to join our clinic and treat clients in a therapeutic setting.

Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week
Salary: $80,000 per year plus 12% superannuation,
Location: Tugun, QLD

Duties

- Provide therapeutic massage, remedial or Shiatsu, to treat soft tissue dysfunction and relieve muscle tension, pain and fatigue
- Assess clients' physical condition and case history and plan treatment
- Treat clients across the clinic's services, including women's health clients (fertility, pregnancy and postpartum) and clients with general pain, tension and injury
- Provide treatment and recovery support for pregnancy and postpartum clients (for example back and pelvic pain, sciatica, fluid retention, fatigue,



C-section scar healing and lactation concerns such as blocked ducts)
- Provide other women's health bodywork as part of our TCM treatment approach
- Apply TCM theory when assessing and treating clients
- Give clients stretching, rehabilitation and self-care advice
- Keep accurate clinical notes and follow clinic hygiene, safety and privacy standards
- Work with our practitioners to support client care

Essential

- Diploma in Shiatsu or Remedial Massage (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of experience as a massage therapist
- Knowledge of women's health and postpartum care

Bonus

- Experience with cupping and moxibustion
- Knowledge of TCM theory
