Specialise in scoliosis and kyphosis rehabilitation

Are you a qualified Exercise Physiologist looking to develop specialist clinical skills in a focused, multidisciplinary setting? ScoliCare Adelaide is seeking a motivated Exercise Physiologist to deliver individualised rehabilitation for people living with scoliosis and kyphosis.

ScoliCare is a dedicated spinal health clinic providing non-surgical care for scoliosis and kyphosis. Our approach combines individual assessment, tailored exercise-based rehabilitation, patient education and collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. You will receive structured training in our clinical protocols and ScoliBalance® therapy; prior scoliosis-specific experience is welcome but not essential.

About the role

You will assess patients’ physical and functional needs and plan, deliver and review scoliosis-specific rehabilitation as part of the treatment plan prescribed by the Scoliosis Clinician. Your caseload may include children, adolescents and adults.

· Conduct physical and functional assessments and document findings accurately in patient records and relevant clinical software.

· Plan and deliver individualised scoliosis-specific rehabilitation and exercise programs, including ScoliBalance® therapy following training.

· Teach patients movement strategies, three-dimensional postural self-correction, corrective positioning and relevant breathing mechanics in line with the prescribed program.

· Educate and motivate patients and families, adapting communication to different ages and needs.





· Liaise with Scoliosis Clinicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team, participate in joint reviews and contribute to case discussions.

· Monitor patient progress and communicate relevant observations to the treating clinician to support coordinated care.

· Prepare reports, maintain accurate and confidential records, and complete related administrative tasks.

· Participate in professional development, clinical training, quality improvement, research activities and educational or promotional events as required.

· Travel within South Australia may be required.

What we are looking for

· A relevant university qualification in Exercise Physiology.

· At least one year of relevant experience working as an Exercise Physiologist.

· Current ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), or the ability to meet all requirements for the role before commencing clinical duties.

· Current professional indemnity insurance, First Aid and CPR certification, and a current Working with Children Check, as applicable.

· Solid assessment, clinical reasoning, documentation and attention-to-detail skills.

· Excellent communication and rapport-building skills,



including the ability to engage children, adolescents and their families.

· A collaborative, adaptable approach, sound time management and the initiative to take responsibility for tasks and follow them through.

· Confidence presenting clinical information or contributing to education sessions is desirable.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
