Barista – Café Kazu (Chatswood Chase)
Café Kazu is opening soon at Chatswood Chase, and we’re looking for a confident, hands‑on Barista to help lead our newest venue. If you know how to run a smooth floor, motivate staff, and deliver consistent, high‑quality service, this is a strong opportunity to step into a leadership role with a growing café brand.
About the Role
As Barista, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee daily Coffee/drink operations, guide the team through busy shifts, and maintain the warm, professional service standard Café Kazu is known for. You’ll be a key part of the opening team, helping set the culture and rhythm of the new café from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong customer service standards
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Assist with training, and staff performance
- Handle escalated customer issues with maturity
- Ensure smooth workflow between floor, coffee, and kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks
What You Bring
- 2–3 years’ experience in a café barista role
- Strong communication and people‑management skills
- Ability to stay calm, organised, and proactive under pressure
- Confidence in decision‑making and problem‑solving
- Experience with POS systems and café operations
- A positive attitude and team‑first mindset
