JOB TITLE: Waiter Supervisor

JOB TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Goldfields Hotel Motel, Tennant Creek NT

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supervise and coordinate day-to-day food and beverage service across the motel's dining, pub and bar areas according to rostered operational needs.

· Lead waiting and front-of-house staff during shifts, allocate duties and ensure efficient workflow and appropriate service coverage.

· Greet patrons and guests, oversee the taking of food and beverage orders, and ensure meals and drinks are served accurately and promptly.

· Monitor service standards, presentation and customer satisfaction, and resolve routine customer complaints or escalate significant issues to management.

· Coordinate table setup, clearing and cleaning and ensure dining, bar and other customer-service areas are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.

· Operate and oversee point-of-sale systems, payment processing and cash-handling procedures, including assisting staff with discrepancies where required.

· Assist with training and coaching waiting and front-of-house staff in service procedures, menu knowledge, responsible service and workplace requirements.

· Monitor beverages, service items and other hospitality stock,



coordinate replenishment and assist with stock counts and reporting shortages to management.

· Coordinate with kitchen, bar, accommodation and management staff to maintain continuous and efficient service during busy periods.

· Ensure staff comply with responsible service of alcohol, food-safety, workplace health and safety and other procedures applicable to food and beverage operations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30622) or equivalent is desirable, or relevant hospitality experience demonstrating supervisory capability. Current NT-approved Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is required where supervising or performing bar duties; appropriate food-safety training is required for food-service duties.

Experience: Relevant experience in a pub, hotel, motel, restaurant or similar food and beverage workplace, including experience supervising or coordinating front-of-house staff.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
