Roselands Cafe Hiring - Barista and Kitchen Cook Position (Full time and Casual)
Our cafe is located in Roselands Shopping Centre. We are looking for someone friendly, reliable and confident to work with our amazing team.
Barista Requirements:
- Proven previous experience working as a barista in a fast-paced cafe workplace
- Strong knowledge in coffee extraction, milk texturing (including alternative milks) and machine maintenance
- Strong customer service skills
- Consistent availabilities
- Friendly and positive attitude; ability to work well as a team
Barista Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to:
- Greeting customers and taking orders
- Dial in grinders, monitor extraction, checking milk texture and quality
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised workspace
- Restocking and ordering supplies as needed
Kitchen Cook Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a cook in a busy cafe or fast paced kitchen environment
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure during busy weekend rushes
- Strong communication skills, reliable and positive
- Strong customer service skills
- Consistent availabilities
- Reliable and positive attitude; ability to work well as a team
Kitchen Cook Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to:
- Prepare, cook and present menu items consistently and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area in compliance with Food Safety guidelines
- Manage stock rotation, food preparation and minimising food waste
- Collaborate effectively with front of house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Assist in menu planning and specials development
- Restocking and ordering supplies as required
