Six String Brewing Co, Erina NSW is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our small kitchen team. We are a Filipino fusion restaurant known for traditional and modern twists on both Australian and Filipino cuisine. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for developing and implementing menus, managing the kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and training kitchen staff
- Overseeing food preparation and presentation
- Maintaining food quality and hygiene standards
- Managing food costs and inventory
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Menu development and recipe creation
- Collaborating with restaurant management to achieve business goals
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef,
with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in menu planning and recipe development
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Filipino cuisine is preferred but not essential
