POSITION OVERVIEW

Serene Mining and Maintenance Services is looking for Crusher Fitter / Mobile Equipment Plant Fitter is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of fixed and mobile crushing and screening equipment within mining and mineral processing operations. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, availability, and performance through preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

Working in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards, the position supports the ongoing operation of crushers, conveyor systems, screening equipment, and associated plant machinery to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed and mobile crushing, screening, and processing equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
- Conduct component replacements, repairs, and rebuilds including cone and jaw crusher liner changes, conveyor systems, feeders, and screening equipment.
- Carry out servicing, overhauls, and maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Maintain and repair diesel-powered mobile plant and heavy equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation, service reports, and inspection records accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, isolation procedures, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) processes, and working-at-heights activities where required.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.





QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Apprentice-trained tradesman.
- Experience with mobile crushers and fixed plant equipment.
- Experience maintaining crushers and conveyor systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Understanding of workplace safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and working at heights.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team workplace.

Desirable

- Prior experience working with mobile crushers or diesel engine-powered heavy equipment.
- Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds, and repairs.
- Cone and jaw crusher liner change experience.
- Basic 24-volt electrical troubleshooting knowledge.

REMUNERATION

- Competitive hourly rate of $76 per hour, plus applicable allowances and superannuation.
- Annual salary range of approximately AUD $80,000 to AUD $150,000, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant industry experience.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

This is a full-time position with Serene Mining and Maintenance Services. The role requires working ordinary hours in accordance with operational requirements and site rosters within a mining and maintenance environment.

Employment conditions, including hours of work, remuneration, leave entitlements, superannuation, and other benefits, will be provided in accordance with the applicable Modern Award, employment contract, company policies, and Australian workplace legislation.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
