AAA Advanced Quality Care is seeking compassionate, reliable and highly experienced Disability Support Workers to join our established team supporting NDIS participants with complex care needs, including severe epilepsy, in Southport. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are confident in seizure management, medication administration and delivering respectful, person-centred support. You will be attentive, remain calm in an emergency and support each participant’s dignity, independence and choices.

Essential Experience and Requirements

- A minimum of three years’ hands-on experience supporting people with epilepsy or seizure disorders, including seizure recognition, management and emergency response in accordance with individual plans.
- Demonstrated competency and confidence in medication administration, following medication protocols and maintaining accurate records.
- Mealtime management experience, including following individualised mealtime management plans.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) experience, including following behaviour support plans and consistently implementing positive support strategies.
- Experience providing personal care with dignity and respect, and supporting community access, appointments and meaningful activities.
- Ability to follow individualised support plans, complete accurate progress notes and incident reports, and provide transparent shift handovers.
- Strong communication skills,



reliability and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within an established team.
- Availability to work a combination of morning, afternoon, active overnight and sleepover shifts.

Applicants must also hold current First Aid and CPR certification and a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or be able to obtain clearance before commencing. Preferred / Highly Regarded

- Midazolam (Midaz) administration training.
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a 24/7 supported care environment.

Available Shifts Morning: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
Afternoon: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Active overnight: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Sleepovers: Separate shifts as rostered.

Active overnight shifts are not sleepovers. Staff must remain awake and available to provide support throughout the entire active overnight shift.
