We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Truck Driver / Farm Hand to support daily operations across our poultry farm and manure handling systems. This is a hands-on role combining driving, maintenance, and general farm duties, requiring strong initiative and practical problem-solving capability.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Driving
- Operate MR/HR trucks to deliver eggs, feed and manure to locations across greater metro.
- Complete delivery dockets, driver logbooks, and pre-start checklists
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of vehicles
Manure System Operations
- Run, monitor, and maintain manure collection systems
- Inspect and repair equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Clean manure tracks, high-hats, and scrapers after belts have been cleared
Maintenance & Farm Support
- Assist with general maintenance tasks across the property
- Support mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Occasionally assist with bird movements and shed operations
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Valid HR Truck Licence
- Demonstrated experience driving heavy vehicles
- Strong mechanical aptitude (repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures
- Positive record-keeping and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience in HR Tipper
- Familiarity with conveyors
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
