Autopact Group is seeking a motivated, commercially focused Sales Manager to join our growing dealership network in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs.

This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to take ownership of sales performance, lead and develop a team, and contribute to the continued success of a well-established dealership operation.

Working closely with senior dealership management, you will play a key role in driving profitability, improving sales performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

About the Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the sales department, ensuring the team is motivated, accountable and consistently delivering results.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing automotive sales team.

- Drive vehicle sales volume, gross profitability and overall departmental performance.

- Manage daily sales activities, customer enquiries, lead allocation and follow-up processes.

- Monitor individual and team KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Maintain strong deal management and negotiation practices.

- Work closely with dealership management to develop and execute sales strategies.

- Ensure a consistently high standard of customer service throughout the sales process.

- Manage stock presentation, inventory opportunities and sales pipeline activity.

- Foster a positive, professional and accountable team culture.

- Ensure dealership processes and operational standards are consistently maintained.

About You

We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that successful automotive sales management requires more than achieving a monthly target.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:





- Proven experience in automotive retail sales.

- Previous Sales Management, Assistant Sales Management or senior automotive sales leadership experience.

- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of dealership profitability.

- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and hold a sales team accountable.

- Excellent negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills.

- A proactive approach to lead management, prospecting and sales conversion.

- Robust organisational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

- A professional attitude, high personal standards and a commitment to delivering results.
