Weldmark Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Certified Steel Fabricator/Boilermaker to join our team in Tamworth. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with quality steel fabrication and welding projects in a agile, professional environment.
What you'll be doing
- Welding steel including MIG, TIG, and stick welding to join metal components
- Reading workshop drawings and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operating and maintaining welding equipment and related machinery in accordance with safety operations
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.
- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
- Finishing and cleaning products grinding, buffing and painting to quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safe work regulations
What we're looking for
- Current welding qualifications or certification relevant to steel welding as Cert 111 Engineering
- Proven experience in steel welding and fabrication, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality welds
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform within a small team
- Physical fitness to perform demanding manual work, reliability and punctuality
