Leading Hand — $56 to $64 per hour + Company Vehicle

Run your own crew. Stay on the tools. Take your ute home.

We’re after a hands-on Leading Hand who leads from the front, works alongside the crew and owns the result. The pay range is deliberately broad. At the lower end, you’ll run smaller residential projects with a small crew while you build your site management skills. At the top end, you’re a proven gun who can run complex rectification jobs with a larger team: owning site safety, liaising with clients and site managers and meeting a high compliance bar.

The role

- Lead a crew of 2–3 for smaller jobs, more for our bigger projects

- Plan, run and deliver projects - from small residential sites to complex rectification works on commercial buildings

- Keep the site safe and the work compliant, liaise with Roofrite Operations and site managers, grow your team’s skill set

- Our Operations Manager is on call for technical and project support, but day to day, the crew is yours to run

The work

- Architectural residential builds that push your skills

- Plenty of remediation and rectification, fixing what others got wrong

- Reroofs, skylights and the occasional cladding job

- Projects across metropolitan Melbourne, run out of our Preston base

What you bring

- Certificate III in Roof Plumbing

- Current Roof Plumbing Registration

- White Card and Driver’s Licence
