QLD Kit Homes is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in Smithfield, Cairns. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is pivotal to our business operations and directly impacts client satisfaction and company profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating and executing construction projects whilst maintaining project timelines and budgets
- Managing project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial objectives are met
- Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery
- Monitoring site safety compliance and ensuring all work adheres to relevant health and safety regulations and company standards
- Conducting regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain construction standards
- Identifying and resolving project issues and risks in a timely manner
- Managing subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
- Providing progress updates to management and clients on project status
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in residential or commercial construction
- Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations relevant to Queensland
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Sound financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
- Formal qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field are advantageous
