An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly organised Legal secretary/ Administration assistant to join our Personal Injury team based in Kotara.
About the Role
Supporting our Legal team, you will play a vital role in assisting clients who have suffered hearing loss as a result of workplace noise exposure. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach when dealing with clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing solicitor diaries and appointments.
- Preparing legal correspondence and court documents.
- Following workflow
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files.
- Liaising with clients, medical specialists, hearing service providers and barristers.
- Arranging medical appointments and obtaining medical reports.
- Managing incoming telephone enquiries and providing exceptional client service.
- File administration, electronic filing and document management.
- Requesting ATO documents.
- Assisting with claim progression from initial enquiry through to settlement.
- General secretarial and administrative support for the Industrial Deafness practice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Medical Secretary or Administrative Assistant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organisational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A professional and compassionate approach to client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Experience in personal injury law, workers compensation, industrial deafness, or compensation claims will be highly regarded but is not essential.
