How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

- Undertake the programming and preparation of additive manufacturing jobs, including part orientation, support structure design, build layout optimisation, machine setup, and process parameters selection.
- Support the manufacture and post-processing of additively manufactured hardware for launch vehicle, propulsion, and satellite applications.
- Prepare engineering documentation required for the transition of products from development to production, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspection requirements, risk assessments and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with design engineers to improve the manufacturability and printability of components through Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles.
- Assist in the development, validation, and optimisation of additive manufacturing processes to improve quality, repeatability, throughput, and cost.
- Support machine setup, process qualification,

and production readiness activities for additive manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and support equipment required for additive manufacturing and post-processing operations.
- Participate in design reviews, providing manufacturing input relating to additive manufacturing constraints, capabilities, and process considerations.
- Conduct structured root cause analysis of manufacturing defects, process deviations, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Assist with material, process, and equipment trials to evaluate new manufacturing capabilities and production methods.
- Support maintenance and calibration activities for additive manufacturing equipment.
- Process map manufacturing activities, capture current ways of working, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and production processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across all manufacturing activities.
- Other duties as requested by Management.

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Understanding of metal and polymer additive manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;), and manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Exposure to CAD software such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, or similar packages.
- Exposure to AM related software as Magics, EOSPrint, or similar packages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational, multitasking, and documentation skills.

We recognise you may not meet all of the below, but don’t let that deter you. We are always looking for hard workers to join our team, so what are you waiting for? Let’s send Australia to space!

- Experience with metal and polymer additive manufacturing technologies such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) or Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM).
- Experience operating, supporting, or troubleshooting additive manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing preparation and build management software.
- Experience with manufacturing process development, qualification, and validation activities.
- Understanding of post-processing operations including support removal, machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, and inspection.
- Experience working within aerospace, space, defence, medical, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment, interacting daily with engineers, technicians, and managers.
