Senior Project Manager

Roster: Casual 6-Month duration | Commencing December 2026 until June 2027, working Monday to Friday

Location: Western Sydney

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee two major infrastructure projects across Western Sydney on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, delivery-focused Project Manager with solid commercial and contractor management skills to take ownership of two active projects within an industrial and operational environment.

Commencing in December 2026, the initial period will involve a structured handover with the incumbent Project Manager ahead of their parental leave in February 2027. You will then assume day-to-day responsibility for both projects through to the expected completion of the engagement in June 2027.

Managing competing priorities across both projects, you will play a key role in maintaining delivery momentum, managing risks and costs, and ensuring project milestones are achieved.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of both projects, maintaining progress against agreed scope, budgets and schedules.
- Manage project controls, including cost forecasting, scheduling, risk management, change control and milestone tracking.
- Oversee contractor, consultant and supplier performance, including contract administration, variations and commercial matters.
- Identify and resolve project issues, escalating key risks and decisions when required.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, HSE, site operations and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Manage interfaces between construction activities and live operational environments.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, forecasts, risk registers and reporting.




- Provide regular project updates and clear visibility of performance, risks, issues and outstanding decisions.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Complete a structured handover at the conclusion of the engagement.

Required experience and capability

- Current Drivers Licence (Essential)
- Significant experience managing complex engineering, infrastructure or industrial capital projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Proven ability to manage multiple active projects concurrently.
- Strong contractor management, contract administration and commercial capability.
- Experience delivering brownfield projects in live operational environments.
- Strong project controls capability, including schedule management, cost forecasting, change control and risk management.
- Experience managing technical interfaces, operational stakeholders and external consultants.
- Sound understanding of project governance and disciplined reporting.
- Ability to take over projects already in progress and quickly establish effective working relationships.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in wastewater treatment, waste management, chemical processing or similar industrial environments would be highly regarded.
