About Us : TREND is a modern café and restaurant with a robust local following. We’re passionate about delivering creative, high-quality food made with fresh ingredients and served with care. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team.
Role & Responsibilities :
Day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on quality and consistency
Create and develop seasonal menu items that align with TREND’s brand
Food preparation, presentation, and portion control
Maintain a clean, organised, and protected kitchen environment
Manage and mentor junior kitchen staff
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and reduce food wastage
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
Requirements :
Minimum 6 years proven experience in a chef role (restaurant or café)
Robust culinary skills and creativity with modern Australian and international cuisines
Ability to handle high-volume service while maintaining standards
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Understanding of cost control and kitchen management
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings as required
