This hands-on role offers variety across tooling maintenance, machining, repairs and production support, helping keep extrusion operations running efficiently and producing quality products.
What you'll be doing
Maintaining, repairing and modifying extrusion tooling, dies, mandrels and calibrators
Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tooling issues
Machining and modifying components using lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders
Preparing tooling for production changeovers and different pipe sizes
Inspecting, assembling, dismantling and refurbishing tooling
Working closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
Ensuring tooling meets required tolerances and product quality standards
Maintaining a protected, clean and organised toolroom
What we're looking for
Toolroom, fitting, machining or manufacturing maintenance experience
Solid mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment
Experience with extrusion tooling or PVC pipe manufacturing is highly regarded
A proactive approach to safety, quality and preventative maintenance
