About ESSA Monash Caulfield

ESSA Monash Caulfield is the Monash branch of the Economics Student Society of Australia, a student-led organisation founded in 2012. We connect economics and related students with professionals and academics through talks, workshops, networking events and community initiatives. Members build practical skills and see how economic theory applies to real-world issues, in an inclusive, collaborative community covering economics, policy, business and related fields.

About the Role

Roles Available

Sponsorship Officer

Build industry partnerships that deliver real value to members, while gaining hands-on business development experience.
Responsibilities: Engage prospective sponsors, nurture existing relationships and support sponsorship delivery.
Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and skilled approach, interest in economics, business or finance.

Marketing Officer

Be the creative voice of ESSA Caulfield while building your qualified portfolio.
Responsibilities: Create content, manage our social channels and lead campaigns, tracking reach and engagement.




Attributes: Creative, organised and proactive, strong eye for design and storytelling, interest in digital media, branding or content creation.

Event Officer

Connect students with industry specialists and peers while gaining project delivery experience employers value.
Responsibilities: Plan and run panels, workshops, networking sessions and socials, from logistics to attendee experience.
Attributes: Organised and detail oriented, proactive approach and strong communication skills, passion for high quality student experiences.

Qualifications
Interest in economics, public policy, business or related fields
Organisation and time management, including handling multiple tasks during busy academic periods
Clear written and spoken communication, and effective teamwork
Basic digital literacy: social media, email, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
Reliable attendance at meetings and events on the Caulfield campus
Current or prospective Monash student, preferably at Caulfield
Previous volunteering or leadership experience is beneficial but not required
