Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join its growing team based in Melbourne. This is a excellent opportunity for someone with strong taxation and accounting experience to work with a diverse range of clients and further develop their qualified skills. The position offers a salary of $70,000–$80,000 + superannuation.

What you’ll be doing:
Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns
Preparing financial statements, BAS and IAS
Assisting with GST, FBT and other tax compliance requirements
Conducting tax research and assisting with tax advice
Managing client files and maintaining supporting documentation
Liaising with clients and assisting with ATO matters
Working closely with senior accountants, managers and Directors

What you’ll need:
2–3 years of taxation or accounting experience, ideally within public practice
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
Sound knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principles




Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements
Solid attention to detail and organisational skills
Positive communication and client management skills
Experience with accounting and taxation software
CA/CPA studies or an intention to undertake a professional qualification is advantageous
