SUSHIRO PTY LTD trading as ‘Brown Rice’ is a rapid-growing company in Japanese restaurant industry. We

are providing fine Japanese cuisines and high-quality beverages. We are seeking a cook.

Position: Chef

Work Hours: 38 hours per week

Work Type: Full time,

Workplace: 2 Ridgeview Dr, Peregian Springs, QLD 4573

Annual Salary: $80,000 + Superannuation (12%)

You will perform the following tasks for the role:
Lead and manage kitchen,
Develop and plan menus,
Supervise the activities of kitchen,
Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager,
Check food to ensure its quality,
Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment,
Prepare food for cooking,
Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming),
Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented,
Clean food preparation areas and equipment,
Store food in temperature-controlled facilities,
Receive and store supplies,




Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional,
Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements,
Give directions to other kitchen staff,
Train and supervise other kitchen staff.

To be successful, you must satisfy the following requirements:

(1) Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role within the food industry

(2) Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen

(3) Qualification/s in hospitality (commercial cookery) or related discipline

(4) Australian citizen/Permanent resident (preferable)
