Our client is seeking experienced CNC Machinists / CNC Turners / CNC Millers who are willing to relocate to Brisbane, Australia, for long-term employment. This opportunity is suited to skilled tradespeople with a strong background in precision machining and general engineering, particularly those with experience in the mining industry.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in small to medium-sized engineering workshops, rather than production-line operators whose experience is limited to repetitive manufacturing tasks.
What you’ll be doing:
Operating and setting up CNC lathes and milling machines
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and machining tolerances
Working with different materials and manufacturing custom components
Independently setting up and completing machining jobs
Ensuring accuracy, quality and safety throughout the machining process
Using programming skills where required
What you’ll need:
At least 5 years of relevant hands-on machining experience
Recognised trade qualifications, preferably including a South African Trade Test or Red Seal certificate
Experience in general engineering,
precision machining or mining-related workshops
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience operating and setting up CNC machinery
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Positive workmanship, attention to detail and a solid understanding of quality and safety
Sufficient English communication skills for an Australian workshop environment
Programming experience will be a significant advantage
Must be willing to relocate to Brisbane, Australia, for long-term employment
