Tidwell Pty Ltd is part of a Taren Point-based group of related businesses in sportswear and headwear wholesale, licensed e-commerce retail and branded merchandise. We hold licences and partnerships with major sporting codes and international brands, and we supply retailers across Australia and New Zealand. We are a small, busy team and we value people who take ownership of their work.

The role

This is a full-time, on-site role working alongside our existing Finance Officer. Together you will run the finance function across several related entities, including payroll for around 20 employees. The work is wide-ranging, the pace is steady, and your contribution will be visible. We are looking for someone reliable who follows tasks through to completion and takes pride in getting the detail right.

Key responsibilities

• Accounts payable and receivable across multiple entities, including following up debtors

• End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 20 employees, including Single Touch Payroll (STP), super and leave

• Bank, merchant and payment platform reconciliations, including Shopify and Afterpay

• Reconciling sales and stock data between Xero, Cin7 Omni and Shopify

• Helping prepare monthly brand reports, remittance advice and commission invoices





• Intercompany transactions and month-end support

• Helping prepare BAS and GST

• Maintaining Excel reports and reconciliation workbooks

• Supporting our Finance Officer with ad hoc tasks and process improvements

About you

• [2+] years’ experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally in wholesale, retail or e-commerce

• Solid working knowledge of Xero, including Xero Payroll (essential)

• Payroll experience, including STP, super and award interpretation

• Experience with an inventory system such as Cin7, Unleashed or DEAR (highly regarded)

• Solid Excel skills, including SUMIFS, lookups and pivot tables

• Experience with multi-entity accounting (highly regarded)

• High attention to detail and the persistence to resolve variances

• A strong work ethic and a track record of reliability – we want someone who stays and grows with the business

• You take ownership of your work and see tasks through without needing to be chased

• You enjoy working closely with a colleague and sharing the workload

• A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, or working towards one (desirable)
