About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Fitter to support our production facility. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to ensure continuous and safe operations. Working 4 X 12-hour days, followed by 4 days off.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installation on PVC pipe production machinery and equipment
Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep accurate maintenance records through CMMS (MEX)
Assist in the installation and commissioning of current machinery
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance
Requirements
Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining)
Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally in plastic or pipe production
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
Experience in material handling, specifically conveying powders will be highly regarded
Restricted electrical license will be highly regarded
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail
Willingness to work rotating shifts, 4 X 12-hour days, followed by 4 days off
