Gemelli Group is looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Production Assistant to join our production kitchen in Southport.
Our kitchen produces fresh pasta, gelato, desserts and other products for our restaurants across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
We're not necessarily looking for an experienced chef! We're looking for someone with basic kitchen knowledge, positive organisational skills and a positive attitude who is eager to learn.
You’ll work alongside experienced kitchen staff who will provide hands-on training, guidance and supervision.
What you’ll be doing
Assisting with the production of fresh pasta, gelato and desserts
Weighing, measuring and preparing ingredients
Following recipes and production instructions
Maintaining quality and consistency
Keeping workstations clean and organised
Following food safety and hygiene procedures
Assisting with stock rotation, packaging and general kitchen duties
Supporting the team across different production sections
What we’re looking for
Some experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment preferred
Basic understanding of food hygiene and protected food handling
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
Reliable, punctual and a team player
Willingness to learn and work across different production areas
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT
No experience making fresh pasta, gelato or desserts? No problem! We’ll teach you.
