Samsung C&T; has long been active in the green energy business and continues to explore additional creative renewable energy solutions.We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to support Energy Business Unit.The commissioning supervisor is responsible for executing and supervising day-to-day commissioning activities on a project.
This role ensures that testing, energisation, and system integration activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures, under the direction of the Commissioning Manager.Key Responsibilities1.Field Execution of commissioning activitiesSupervise commissioning tests on:- HV and MV equipment- LV systems and auxiliary supplies- BESS systems (battery racks, PCS, EMS)Execute commissioning procedures, ITPs and test scriptsCoordinate daily commissioning activities across multiple workfronts2.Supervision and Team coordinationLead technicians, commissioning engineers,



and subcontractors on siteAllocate tasks and ensure work is completed as per schedule and prioritiesAct as primary point of contact for field-level execution issuesCoordinate with construction teams to ensure systems are ready for testing3.Safety and HV OperationsEnsure all works are conducted in accordance with HV Safety rules and site proceduresImplement permit-to-work systems, isolations and LOTOSupport or Act as HV authorised personConduct pre-starts and risk assessmentsEnsure compliance with relevant standards4.Testing and VerificationSupervise- functional testing and pre-commissioning checks- Protection Relay secondary Injection- SCADA Point to point verification checks- Equipment inspections and energisation readiness checksVerify systems are installed and configured according to design and specifications5.Troubleshooting and Fault FindingIdentify and resolve issues encountered during commissioningApply structured fault-finding techniques:- use of multimeters, IR,- interpretation of drawings, schematics and logic diagrams- step-by-step isolation and testing of problem areas.Escalate complex issues to the commissioning Manager or OEM specialists with clear diagnostic information6.Documentation and ReportingEnsure field crew records test results, checksheets, and commissioning recordsUpdate Punchlists, defect registers, and progress reportsMark up drawings (red lines) to reflect as built conditionsProvide daily reports on progress, issues and risks7.Support for Energisation and Grid ComplianceAssist with energisation activities:- Pre-Energisation ChecksSupport grid compliance and testing activitiesAbout You5+ years' experience in commissioning and testing of electrical systemsTertiary qualification in civil / electrical engineering or similar.Protection & control systemsRenewable energy projects (Solar and/or BESS highly regarded)Experience with HV, MV & LV systemsKnowledge of Australian standards, regulatory requirements, and testing proceduresProven leadership experience managing teams and delivering to project budgets3-5 years' experience with either an EPC Contractor, NER or NSPs.An Australian recognized engineering degreeProven leadership and presentation skillWork well under pressureCollaboration skill in multi-disciplinary organisationAbility to travel and work away from home as requiredSamsung C&T; Corporation is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams.
